Mr. Norman Wayne Dugger, age 46, a resident of Culleoka, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 at his residence. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Army. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, October 15 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born on August 12, 1968 in Hickman County, Norman was the son of Loyd Dugger and Carolyn Anglin Dugger. He was of the Baptist faith and a long time employee of Stoney's Auto Salvage Inc. in Columbia. He also previously worked as a police officer for the Dickson and Hickman County Sherriff's Departments. Norman served his country in the United States Army and fought in Operation Desert Storm. He was a CPL in the 101st Airborne Division, and worked as a gunner during his military service. Norman often enjoyed deer hunting in his spare time. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his father: Loyd Dugger of Summertown; mother: Carolyn Dugger of Shelbyville; children: Ashley Humphrey of Santa Fe, Bristol Surprise of Murfeesboro, Matthew Dugger, Ryan Dugger, Austin Dugger, Cody Dugger all of Santa Fe; brother: Walter (Brenda) Dugger of Columbia; sisters: Carol Dugger Kelley of Columbia, Karen Brown (Tommy Norman) of Columbia, Amberly (Mickey) Chapman of Summertown; grandchildren: Christian Surprise, John Wayne Humphrey; special friend: Sam Akins; fiancé: Nicole Bale; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be: Ryan Dugger, Matthew Dugger, Austin Dugger, Cody Dugger, Walter Dugger, and Sam Akins. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dylan Walters and Stoney.
