Joan Carolyn Jackson

Joan Carolyn Jackson, age 73, a resident of Shelbyville, TN passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Life Care Center of Columbia. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday from 1:00 PM until the service hour at 3:00 PM. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born on September 7, 1941 in Maury County, Joan was the daughter of the late Robert Webb, Sr. and the late Minnie Lou Crafton Webb. She previously worked as a caretaker and often enjoyed gardening. She loved her family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sons: W.C. Brown, Jr. of Columbia, Michael Wayne Brown on Alabama; daughter: Liesa (Kenneth) Odom of Shelbyville, TN; brothers: Perry (Carol) Webb of Missouri, Ernest Webb of Summertown, TN, William (Teresa) Webb of Summertown, TN; sisters: Portia (L.D.) Cornelius of Summertown, TN, Stephanie (Freddie) Taylor of Columbia; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Robert Webb, Jr., James Webb; sisters: Patricia Webb, and Ann Johnson.
