Mr. Bart Maxwell-Hughes, age 50, husband of Lynn Hughes, and a resident of Lawrenceburg, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at his residence. The family will celebrate his life with services at Meadowview Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 3:00 PM. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. A native of Lawrenceburg, Bart was born on October 26, 1963 and was the son of Donald Virgil and Martha Lee Harris Maxwell. He loved his wife, children, and family, and he was a loving uncle and brother as well. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his daughter: Julia Juliet Renay Maxwell-Hughes Johnson of Oklahoma; step-sons: Austin Starkey, Jeffrey Davidson, Joseph Davidson all of Ohio; siblings: Renay (Jose) Fernandez, James Robert (Glenda) Hughes, Deonna Brucesanta Hughes (John) Kingsbury, Willard Edwin (Jennifer) Hughes all of Lawrenceburg, and Krista Renay Maxwell; grandchildren: Jacob Michael Johnson, Cheyenne Dawn Hughes; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his adopted father: James Edward Hughes; paternal grandparents: Virgil Lee and Martha Elizabeth Maxwell; maternal grandparents: Willard Arnold Harris and May Lucille Staggs; and his adopted grandparents: Melissa Ann and James Sidney Hughes.
