Enis Raymond

December 17, 1930 - September 24, 2014

Enis Raymond, age 83, and a resident of Columbia, TN passed away early Wednesday morning September 24, 2014 at her residence. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Maury Memorial Gardens adjacent to Heritage Funeral Home. The family will gather at Heritage Funeral Home from 12:00 - 1:00 PM for visitation before the graveside service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. She was born the daughter of a coal-miner on December 17, 1930 in Maben, West Virginia to the late William Lawrence and Vernie Mae Halsey Bower. She married the love of her life, Keith Lowell Raymond, in August of 1952. They were very much in love, still holding hands everywhere they went even when they went to sleep. He preceded her in death in June of 2005. Enis was a homemaker the majority of her life and was a member of West Wayne Free Will Baptist Church in Wayne, Michigan. Her family described her as being hilarious, always doing something silly to make them laugh. She was a Christian woman who loved her children, grandchildren, and her beloved pets. She is survived by her daughters: Sharon Meade and Karen Ford; three grandchildren: Lenny West, Karen West, Stephanie (Beau) Williams; two great-grandchildren: Jake Williams and John Williams; cats: Pinkie and Jack; and her "grand-dogs:" Moose, Baby, Benji, Tara, and Jazzy. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Louise Wilson, Ethel Tate, Silas Bower, Bobby Jerry Bower.
