Mark Steven Boshers

Mr. Mark Steven Boshers, age 54 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Sunday morning, September 14, 2014 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, September 17 at 2:00 PM at Maury Memorial Gardens, adjacent to Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Georgina Kennedy officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, September 16 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home, and again from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour on Wednesday. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Mark was born March 3, 1960 in Maury County and was the son of the late Elmer Boshers and Odell Conner Boshers. He was a backhoe operator for Columbia Power and Water Systems. He was a quiet man who chose his words wisely. Although he didn't say much, what he said was usually important. He enjoyed sports and was an avid UT and Pittsburg Steelers fan. In earlier years he enjoyed playing softball. His greatest joy was taking care of his family. He loved his grandbabies and spent as much time with them as he could. Along with his loving wife of 26 years, Susan Duncan Boshers of Mt. Pleasant, Mark is survived by a son: Steven Boshers of Mt. Pleasant; daughters: Julie (Steve) Cobb of Tullahoma, Kristen (Moises) Sanchez of Columbia, and Savannah Boshers of Mt. Pleasant; brothers: WL Boshers of Columbia, Jimmy Boshers of Columbia, and Roger Boshers of CA; sisters: Ellen Craig of Columbia, Jean Howell of Columbia, Rubie Shirley of Triune, Sandra Cothran of Murfreesboro, Sharon Sanders of Columbia, Lesha Young of Lewisburg, and Robin Barnhill of Columbia; grandchildren: Ciera Ballinger, Peyton Boshers, Presley Sanchez, and Paris Sanchez; great-grandchildren: Kennedy and Kaiden. Pallbearers will be Tommy Pulley, Tommy Ervin, Randall Odom, Glen Butler, Loren Butler, and Tyrone McKnight. Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Dean, Steve Cobb, Moises Sanchez, Wilma Odom, Samantha Whitwell, all employees of Columbia Power and Water Systems, and nephews and nieces.
