He began a fishing trip in Pennsylvania over 47 years ago with a couple of friends that has grown to 30+ making the annual trek. He was active in Hunters for the Hungry and was recognized with a Presidential Award for his efforts. While studying at the University of Nebraska, Doug was named captain of the Gymnastics Squad where he also earned his place in the letterman society. No matter what he did, laughter was included. Doug loved to laugh, share humor and make sure your day was brighter. Through it all he loved his family, immediate and extended. He will be remembered and honored as a husband, father and grandfather who had a passion for life and for his family and friends. Honoring his memory is his wife of 50 years: Beverly Jane Moore; sons: Mike Moore and Matt (Rita) Moore; and a grand-daughter Olivia all living in Brentwood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Jim Moore.
