Shelia Eycleshymer

September 7, 1944 - September 5, 2014

Shelia Rainwater Jackson Eycleshymer of Lexington, TN, formerly of Montrose, MI, passed away Friday, September 5, 2014 at Henderson County Hospital, two days shy of her 70th birthday. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 11 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Maxine Andis officiating. Burial will follow at Maury Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Promise, adjacent to the funeral home. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, September 10 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Shelia was born in Flint, MI and was the daughter of the late Earl Franklin Rainwater and Mary Ann Johnson Rainwater. To say she was a homemaker would be an understatement. Shelia was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, with a passion for serving and caring for each family member. She had an amazing close relationship with her sisters and enjoyed spending time together with them. Although she loved her family dearly, the world would simply stand still for Detroit Tigers baseball. Shelia was a loyal fan and would change her schedule, move meal time, or cancel an event that conflicted with a ballgame. The off-season was simply time to plan and prepare for the next opening day! She loved listening to classic country music and enjoyed the opportunity to visit the casino, or even play on-line. The love she shared with her family will be missed, but the pain she suffered through the death of two husbands, Herbert W. Jackson and Donald Eycleshymer has now been erased. To honor and cherish her memory, she is survived by six children: David Earl (Lee) Jackson of Bloomsburg, PA, Herbert (Tracey) Jackson of Lexington, TN, Kelly Beggs of Flint, MI, Tina Carr of Holly, MI, Shelly Eycleshymer of Montrose, MI and Jan (Pat) Bedrosian of New Lorthrop, MI; two brothers: Rick Rainwater of Swartz Creek, MI and Ted (Sno) Rainwater of Grand Blanc, MI; two sisters: Anita (Jim) Thomas and Kathryn Marckese, both of Columbia; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Zachary Jackson, Michael Carr, Tyler Jackson, Casey Jackson, Justin Beggs and Jimmy Beggs.
