Mr. Wallace Pat "Boot Jack" Williams, Sr. age 72, a resident of Oak Park Drive in Columbia, passed away Wednesday evening, September 3, 2014 at his residence. A homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Kenny Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Mr. Wallace Pat Williams, Sr. was born on July 9, 1942 in Columbia, Tennessee and was the son of the late Orange "Ludie" and Elizabeth Armstrong Williams. Boot Jack, as he was affectionately called by family and friends, was a 1962 graduate of Carver Smith High School. He received a football scholarship to Tennessee State University. He earned his appliance repair certification in Atlanta, GA through Sears & Roebuck, from where he retired. After retirement, he continued to service appliances and small engines for family and friends. He was baptized at Mt. Vernon Church under the leadership of Rev. J.C. Wray. He leaves behind to cherish his precious memories, his sweetheart of 55 years, and devoted wife of 52 years: Judie Mae Bellafant Williams; to this union, two devoted children, daughter: Anglie (Horace) Minnieweather, and son: Wallace (Selika) Williams, Jr.; two adopted grandsons: Ricardo Williams and Tronice Wadale (Neferti) Williams; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one God-daughter: Kamaria Stevenson; brother: Billy E. (Brownie) Williams; sister: Elnora Redding of Columbia; sisters-in-law: Hester (Harold) Woodard of Columbia, Wilniter Bellafant of Detroit, MI; devoted brother-in-law: James Bellafant of Columbia; brothers-in-law: Charles Jenkins of Columbia, Walter Bellafant of Detroit, MI; ten nieces; four nephews; and devoted friends: Rudolph Lockridge, Charles Alderson, and Anniedene Water. Special in his heart: La Teamma Lyons of Detroit, MI, Arlene Ingram of GA, Randy Duke of MI, Darlene Shaw of Hermitage, TN, Brenda Haynes of Franklin, TN, Horace Minnieweather of Murfreesboro, TN, Carriet Jackson, Mary Ruth Redding, Charles McFall, Mattie Gordon, Walter Johnson all of Columbia, TN, and Robert Duke of Antioch, TN, as well as other relatives and devoted friends. Pallbearers will be Trenton Poynter, Chris Poynter, Torry Caulfield, Quinton Polk, Charles Polk, Jr., Reggie Lockridge, Thomas Bellafant, and Melvin Morris. Honorary pallbearers will be the Carver Smith High School Class of 1962. Nieces and friends will serve as flower bearers.
