Brian Simanson

Brian Ray Simanson, age 53 of Culleoka, passed away Saturday afternoon, August 23, 2014 at his residence, ending his brave six year battle with cancer. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements. Brian was born February 19, 1961 in Milwaukee, WI and was the son of Jack Simanson and the late Annette Tetzlaff Simanson. Brian loved to ride his Harley and spend time with his family. Alongside his wife, Barbara, they worked on construction and carpentry projects for over 20 years. Fun loving and generous, Brian would never let you down if you needed to smile or have a good laugh. He was able to bring out the best in people and share his joy of living with others. His generosity will be remembered because he always thought of others before himself. His greatest passion, however, were the special moments he spent with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. His legacy will continue in their lives and memories of him. In addition to his father, Jack Simanson of Milwaukee, WI, Brian is survived by his wife of 27 years: Barbara Miller Simanson of Culleoka; four children: Jack (Tiffany) Simanson of Lawrenceburg, Tyler (Tia) Simanson of Culleoka, Raquel Simanson (Dusty Grooms) of Culleoka and Garth Simanson of Culleoka; three siblings: Jack (Margie) Simanson Jr, Jill (Mike) Tietz and Greg (Debbie) Simanson all of Milwaukee, WI. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, and was anticipating the birth of his seventh in January of next year.
