Ronnie Wolfe, age 74, a resident of Columbia, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014 at his residence. The family will visit with friends from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 20th at the funeral home and until service time on Thursday, August 21. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. John Snow. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Ronnie was born on November 27, 1939 in Benton, Illinois to the late Jesse Wolfe and the late Virginia Hankins Wolfe. Ronnie will be remembered as a loving husband, wonderful father, a hard worker, but a gentle person. He mowed lawns, was an avid country music fan, he had his own TV show in Michigan called the Ronnie Wolfe Show playing country music. Before retiring he worked for 30 years with General Motors as a paint sprayer. Ronnie is survived by his wife: Patricia Shattuck Wolfe of Columbia; 5 sons: Ronald L. Wolfe, James L. Wolfe, Rick D. Wolfe, Ronald S. Blodgett and Richard D. Blodgett; brother: Gary H. Wolfe; 11 Grandchildren and 4 Great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Ronnie is preceded in death by a daughter: Cathy Wolfe; granddaughter: Heather Wolfe. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be past & present employees of GM. The family of Ronnie wants to send a special thanks to Dr. Steven Simmons; Caris Hospice Staff; Staff of Critical Care at Maury Regional Medical Center.
