Bobby Ray Bobo (Peterbilt), age 67 of Columbia, passed away August 15, 2014 in Williamson County. Bobby was born February 4, 1947 in Lawrence County and was the son of the late Sherman Lee Bobo and Ruby Marie Butler Bobo. He was a truck driver for Edward Oil Company of Lawrenceburg and a member of the Cross Bridges Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 7:00 PM from the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home, officiated by Brother Tommy Hood, Pete Frierson and Brother Mike Williams. Bobby will be remembered not only as a hard worker, but a gentle and forgiving person. He loved joking around, aggravating and picking on people, but it was always with a loving spirit and in good fun. No matter the situation, he would make himself available at any time to help someone. When the conversation seemed dull, Bobby could pick a topic and get the talking going again. In his free time he loved fishing and riding motorbikes, gardening and just being outside. His peaceful and forgiving nature will be cherished and missed by his family and friends. Each time they get in or out of their vehicles, his family will likely hear him saying, "Don't slam the truck door!" Bobby is survived by his wife of 34 years: Teresa Ann Bobo of Columbia; 4 sons: Nicholas Wade Bobo of Columbia, Robert Tyler Bobo (Ashley Vazquez) of Columbia, Steven Ray (Connie) Bobo of Chapel Hill and Daniel Craig (Linda) Bobo of Summertown; 6 siblings: Sherman Lee Bobo, Jr of Culleoka, Linda Faye (Bill) Greggs of Columbia, Larry Gene (Teresa) Bobo of Spring Hill, Martha Ann (Bob) Foster of Culleoka, Charles David Bobo of Columbia and Anita Bobo of Columbia; and two precious grandchildren: Skylie Madison Bobo and Isabella Grace Bobo.
