Doris Wingett

Doris Wingett, age 84, a resident of Lawrenceburg, passed away Sunday evening, August 10, 2014 at her residence. The family will celebrate her life with services at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born in Detroit, MI on November 1, 1929, Doris was the daughter of the late Ross McKinley and Irene Kindt Jacobs. She was an excellent wife, mother, housekeeper, and best friend. She was a Jehovah Witness. Doris was a minister for ten years. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters: Gayla (Daniel) Lord and Joy (Cecil) Keller both of Lawrenceburg, TN; grandchild: Joel (Leslie) Lord; and great-grandchildren: Gavin and Kameron Lord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: John Allen Wingett; brothers: Franklin and Richard Jacobs; and sisters: Eva Sharping, Lella Burnstrum, and Priscilla Henderson.
