Mrs. Judy Lafon Hubbell Clark of Unionville, passed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Saturday morning, August 2, 2014 just 5 days shy of her 65th birthday. Celebration of Life services will be conducted Wednesday, August 6, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Brother Clay Derryberry officiating. Burial will follow in the Cothran Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, August 5 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Judy was born August 7, 1949 at King's Daughters Hospital in Columbia, TN, was the daughter of James Harlan Hubbell and Doris Lillian Brown Hubbell and a member of the Church of Christ. She graduated from Columbia Central High School in 1967 and from Columbia State Community College in 1969. Judy worked for 15 years in Accounts Payable at the Tennessee Baptist Children's Home in Brentwood, TN. She enjoyed her job and especially enjoyed the friends she made there. Judy enjoyed spending time with her family, going on vacations to the beach, selling Avon products, reading, shopping, listening to Rod Stewart music, going out to eat and going to the movies. She had a talent of putting together bright, colorful outfits with matching jewelry, and she could win at "Bananagrams" like nobody's business. She was always sweet, kind, caring, loving and thoughtful, and made a point to make everyone feel welcomed in her home. Judy is survived by her husband of 45 years: Kenneth Rodger Clark of Unionville; three children and their spouses: Dana and Jerry Hollingsworth of LaVergne, TN, Brian and Jessica Clark of Franklin, TN and Amy and Nicole Morris-Clark of Billerica, MA; her parents: James and Doris Hubbell of Columbia; grandchildren: Connor Hollingsworth, Braden Clark and Carter Clark; sisters and spouses: Debbie and Johnny VanAtta of Hermitage and Sherry and Grant Hitt of Brentwood; one nephew: Brandon Hitt; and four nieces: Caycee Rose, Lesley Heiland, Lauren McMahan and Lisa VanAtta. Judy was preceded in death by her grandparents, many aunts and uncles, and her first cousin and best friend: Diane Derryberry.
