Mr. Charlie Chatman, age 49, a resident of Covey Hollow Road in Culleoka, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Herb Helton officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Baptist Cemetery. The family will visit with friends for visitation on Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. A native of Maury County, Charlie was born on June 2, 1965 and was the son of the late Oley Chatman and Wanda Maas Cruse. Charlie was a hard worker. He worked as an electrician, plumber, painter, and many other construction jobs and worked at Hobbs Electric for many years. When he wasn't working, you could often find him fishing and helping take care of his mother. Charlie especially enjoyed helping people; he would do anything for anybody. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his mother he leaves behind to cherish his memory his brothers: James (Cindy) Bramlett of Centerville, Donnie Chatman of Columbia; sister: Cynthia (Neil) Oliver; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Donald Hodge, Bryan Chatman, Jonathan Oliver, Terry Frost, David Katzenberger, and Jimmy Bramlett. Tyler Dawson, Preston Dawson, Ronnie Brown, Hayden Oliver, and Josh Bramlett will serve as honorary pallbearers.
