Mrs. Carlean Mattox White, age 78 of Lawrenceburg, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014 at NHC-Lawrenceburg on Brink Street. Mrs. White's family will celebrate her life with private services. She will then be laid to rest in the Harmony Family Cemetery, beside her husband of 61 years: Edward Leo White, who passed away on April 24, 2014. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Mrs. White was born February 27, 1936 in Lawrenceburg and was the daughter of Collie and Angie Townsend Mattox. Well into her later years, she still enjoyed camping and fishing. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four siblings: Noal Mattox, Vola Phillips, Austin Mattox and Christine Daniel; as well as her mother-in-law and father-in-law: Walter White and Lydia Vanderford White Eaves. She is survived by two daughters: Lisa (Jamie) Kiddy and Cindy Smith; 2 brothers: Collie (Mary) Mattox and Clay (Francis) Mattox; 3 sisters: Lucille (Bobby) Franklin, Hazel Perry (Roy Posey) and Kathleen (Paul) Violet; 4 grandchildren: Dillon Glover, Cody Glover, Justin Blackwood and Caleb Kiddy; brother-in-law: Robert (Sybil) White; 4 sisters-in-law: Marie (James) Stewart and Iva Sue (Tyrone) Shelton, Lorene Mattox and Doris White; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Stroke Foundation, 5916 Dearborn Street, Mission, KS 66202 or at www.americanstroke.org The family wishes to thank the Keestone Senior Community, NHC-Lawrenceburg on Brink St, CARIS Hospice, Dr. Deepak Reddy, Tracy, Kelly and staff at Southern Tennessee Regional Healthcare, Dr. Liviu Zaha and staff in Vanderbilt Medical Center and Dr. Mohana Karlekar in Vanderbilt Palliative Care Group for their special care and support.
