Joe Moore

September 10, 1950 - July 20, 2014

Mr. Joe Ray Moore, age 63 of Hopkinsville, KY and formerly of the Knoxville/Kingsport area, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, KY. Joe was the son of the late Charles Ross Moore and Flora Crawford Moore Bray. He served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. Joe had stated in recent years that he had no surviving family. With that understanding he was laid to rest with military honors provided by the United States Army on Friday, July 25, 2014 in the Chapel Mausoleum at Maury Memorial Gardens, adjacent to Heritage Funeral Home. In attendance were members of the Christian Motorcyclists Association, the Patriot Riders, Franklin Police Department, as well as members of the public who simply wished to pay their respects. It has been discovered that Joe, in fact, had family. Unfortunately they were not allowed to be a part of his final years and were unable to attend his services. In recognition of their grief, Joe is survived by four siblings: Elizabeth Trentham, Regina Frye, George Moore and Pat Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
