Lori was born in Columbia on October 25, 1964 and was the daughter of Royal Dickson Sr. and Frances Pigg Dickson, both whom survive. She was a 1983 graduate of Columbia Central High School and attended Columbia State Community College. Accomplishing something that most people never do, Lori found her passion early in life. She was a lifelong beautician, cosmetologist, and colorist with Royal's Hair Fashion, off the Columbia Town Square. Her customers absolutely adored her. Lori's efficiency in cutting male customer's hair meant they could return to work quickly, while she spent time listening and pampering her female customers as they needed. Her co-workers loved her as she was an inspiration and friend to them, as well as working alongside her mother and partner. Lori was a loving wife, daughter, sister and friend. Her beautiful smile and laughter could make anyone's day better. Intelligent, intuitive, caring and generous are all words used to describe Lori. She was personable and commanded respect just by being herself. She was non-judgmental never met a stranger. Everyone who knew her, whether family, customer or friend, will have an abundance of stories and memories to share about her life. In the free time she had she loved to read mystery novels, do sketches, or play with her animals. Even in her final weeks she continued to say she wanted to be at home with her precious dog, Nora Jane. It was a wish that was graciously granted to her. Her faith was expressed with her Christian family at West End Baptist Church in Columbia. Lori is survived by her loving husband of 25years Scotty Stockard of Columbia; father: Royal Dickson, Sr. and mother: Frances Pigg Dickson, both of Columbia; her brother: Royal (Robin) Dickson, Jr. of Lynnville; a sister: B.
