December 31, 1933 - June 20, 2014

Mr. Charles Parrish, age 80, husband of Donna Sue Watson Parrish, and a resident of Groveland Ridge Rd of Columbia passed away Friday, June 20, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Brother James Edwards and Rev. Chris Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in Santa Fe Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday and Monday, June 22 and June 23, 2014 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Rick Points will be officiating the graveside committal service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Charles was born on December 31, 1933 in Columbia, Tennessee and was the son of the late Luther Bishop Parrish and the late Thelma Lee Martin Parrish. Charles enjoyed woodwork and crafting, taking care of his garden and ducks. In addition to his wife Donna, Charles is survived by his daughters: Sandy Parrish of Columbia; Paula (Wayne) Parrish Vandiver of Culleoka; and Becky (Chris) Parrish Morrison of Chicago, IL; sisters: Margaret (JR) Parrish Vaughn of Santa Fe; Jean (Ed) Parrish Chumley of Culleoka; and Barbara (James) Parrish Edwards of Santa Fe; grandchildren: Jonathan Barnes; Jason Alexander; Justin Alexander; April Owens; Makayla Vandiver; Chelsea Morrison; and Kaitlyn Morrison ; four great-grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; daughter: Vickie Parrish Brubaker; brother: Douglas Parrish; sister: Mary "Tubby" Winn; and grandson: Nathan Barnes. Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Parrish; Ronnie Parrish; Phillip Parrish; Eddie Chumley; Danny Auville; Tommy Winn; Mark Wynn; and Kenneth Crain.
