Carmis Martin, Jr.

August 3, 1949 - June 18, 2014

Mr. Carmis Martin, Jr., age 64, husband of Janice Martin, and a resident of S. South Street in Wilmington, Ohio passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at his residence. A homegoing celebration will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Brother Danny Duke officiating. Burial will follow in Groves Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Carmis was born on August 3, 1949 in Davidson County, Tennessee and was the son of the late Carmis Martin, Sr. and the late Irene Moss. He previously worked as a plumber for Don Woods Plumbing and Paul Hasty & Sons Plumbing. Carmis enjoyed baseball, old time music, working on cars and playing games. In addition to his wife Janice, Carmis is survived by his daughters: Lisa (Jamie) Cuyuch; Vickie (Barry) Hope; Sandra Malott; Jennifer Martin; and Carey Malott; brothers: Jerry (Betty) Martin; Jim (Doris) Waller; and Tommy Martin; fifteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Carmis was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be: Barry Hope; Michael Hope; Matthew Murphy; Ryan Murphy; Jaime Cuyuch; Evan Cuyuch; Dale Slaughter; and Elmer Boggs; Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jay Martin; and Eddie Waller.
