Sheila Howell Mayberry, age 51, a resident of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at her home where she resided with her loving daughter Latisha. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th at 11am in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Friends and family members will express their love and feelings about Sheila. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 4-8pm at the funeral home, and again one hour prior to the service on Friday. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Sheila was born in Dearborn, Michigan on August 12, 1962. She was the daughter of the late John Henry Howell and the late Jennie Maebelle Fox. She married the love of her life, Jewell Wayne, 15 years ago. Sheila felt that God blessed her with her children and she stayed home to raise them. She enjoyed cooking for her family. She also had a passion for butterflies, having a wall full displaying her love for them. She was a lady that always adored having her family with her and living life to the fullest. Sheila being a Christian lady, she was saying she was ready to be with her sister Tammy and other family members in heaven. She will be missed by all her loving family and friends. Along with her husband, Jewell Wayne Mayberry, she leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Christopher Wayne Howell of Columbia, Brian Eugene Howell of Columbia, Amanda (Andrew) Cromwell of New Lothrop, MI, and Latisha (Richie) Seagraves of Columbia; Siblings: Ricky Howell of Williamsport, Gregory (Allison) Howell of Smyrna, Kathy Johnson of Columbia, Mary (Danny) Rogers of Lewisburg, Sharon (Dale) Tomlin of Columbia, Susan (Charles) Thigpen of Killen, AL, and Cindy (Roy) Hickman of Columbia; grandchildren: Cannan Cromwell of New Lothrop, MI, Hunter Cromwell of New Lothrop, MI, Cristian Rosales of Columbia, Jaydon Rosales of Columbia, Richie Seagraves of Columbia, Kole Seagraves of Columbia, Bryson Howell of Hohenwald, Tori Anna Brown of Hohenwald, and Kaylee Harrington Howell of Ethridge; She is also survived by several step children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Tammy Lynn Howell and Linda Fay Howell; granddaughter: Maliea Brooke Brashears. Pallbearers will be Bobby Howell, Ricky Howell, Jason Tomlin, Noah Howell, Richie Seagraves, and Andrew Cromwell. Honorary pallbearers will be all the loving caregivers at Hospice Compassus.
