Mrs. Janet G. Lambert, age 81, wife of Richard W. Lambert, Jr. of Columbia, passed away Tuesday morning, May 27, 2014 at Life Care Center of Columbia. Her family will gather with friends for visitation at 3:00 PM on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Heritage Funeral Home. Committal services will begin at 4:00 PM in the Chapel Mausoleum at Maury Memorial Gardens, next door to the funeral home, officiated by Deacon Price Keller. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Janet was born January 12, 1933 in Northbridge, MA, was the daughter of Donat L. Perron and Eva Pouliot Perron, and attended the Northbridge (MA) Junior/Senior High School. She was of the Catholic faith. Following her education, Janet began her life's journey away from home. Her adventurous spirit took her from small town New England across the Atlantic to London to become a trapeze artist with the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus. After circus life Janet settled in California where she lived for many years, until she returned to her hometown of Northbridge, MA. It was there at Dennison Corp in Framingham she met her husband of 32 years: Richard "Dickie" Lambert. They retired to Florida in 2004 and enjoyed traveling and entertaining with friends. They made their final journey to Columbia in 2012 to be with family. Whenever you saw her, Janet was poised and well dressed - ready for anything life had prepared. She loved life and spending time with her nieces and nephews, and their families. In finding the best description of her personality, her family unanimously agreed that "Janet was a firecracker!" In addition to her husband she is survived by several cousins, including: Linda Santandrea of Columbia; sister-in-law: Patricia Masterson of Columbia; brothers-in-law: Gaetano Leone of Columbia, Kenneth Lambert of NY and William (Mary) Lambert of Rutland, MA; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Donat and Eva Pouliot Perron; a sister: Claire Archambault; and a brother: Donat R. Perron. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Life Care Center of Columbia Activities Center, 841 James Campbell Blvd, Columbia, TN 38401.
