Mr. Charles Leo Miller, age 82, husband of Wanda Miller, and a resident of Robert Skelley Road in Columbia, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at his residence following a brief illness. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 1:00-4:00 PM at the Keg Springs Winery, 361 Keg Springs Road, Hampshire, TN 38461. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born on May 28, 1931 in Lambert, Mississippi, Leo was the son of the late Louis David Miller and the late Sybble Claussen Miller Pierce. He was a retired Certified Public Accountant of over 60 years and was a Boy Scout leader for several years where he was a recipient of the Long Rifle Award. Leo was also a Mason, a member of the Shriners, and an exalter ruler of the Elk's Lodge. He served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 19. Leo was a collector who enjoyed books as well as going to yard sales and auctions and travelling. He and his wife often enjoyed visiting Keg Springs Winery where they met many wonderful friends. In addition to his wife, Wanda, of 51 years, he is survived by his daughter: Crystal (John) Brewer of Lyles, TN; grandchildren: John Dylan Brewer and Seth Charles Brewer of Lyles, TN; and "adopted daughter:" Cindy Detamore of Franklin and family.
