Michael Forrest Kelley

May 28, 1985 - May 7, 2014

Michael Forrest Kelley, age 28, passed away late on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. Michael was a life-long resident of Maury County until just recently relocating to Rutherford County. The family will celebrate his life on Saturday, May 10, 2014. They will visit with friends from 4:00 until 5:30 PM, with services beginning at 5:30 PM. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Michael was born in Columbia and spent his life in Maury County. He enjoyed painting and made a career working alongside his father. Completing his hunter safety certification at 10, Michael could take a squirrel out of a tree, and also liked to dove hunt. Family gatherings were always his favorite as a young boy, especially holidays. While at Spring Hill High School, he followed another passion and played baseball and golf. Professionally, he enjoyed St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Michael will be remembered for his loyalty though. He protected those around him and remained loyal even in difficult times. He is survived by his father and mother: Mike and Joyce Kelley of Columbia; brother: David Miller of Rutherford County; a sister: Dottie Menko of Philadelphia, PA; niece and nephew: Hannah Miller and Daniel Menko; and several aunts and uncles.
