Sarla Bali, age 85, a resident of Habersham Road in Columbia, passed away Thursday morning, May 1, 2014 at NHC Hillview. Services and visitation will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Friday, May 2, 2014 at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Mrs. Bali was born on October 16, 1928 in Montgomery, India and was the daughter of the late Hans Raj and Jamuna Latta. She will be remembered as a very loving and caring mother and talented seamstress. She enjoyed all types of needlework, including knitting and crocheting. She is survived by her three children: Vijay Bali of Miller Place, NY, Dr. Ajay K. Bali of Murfreesboro and Dr. Indu Bali of Columbia.
