Grant Evans

May 22, 1957 - April 14, 2014

Lloyd Grant Evans, age 56 of Spring Hill, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014 at his residence. The family will gather for a time of celebration and remembrance on Thursday, April 17th from 3:00 until 5:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Military honors will be offered at the conclusion of the gathering at 5:00 PM, offered by the United States Navy. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Grant was born May 22, 1957 in Dothan, AL and was the son of Inos M. and Mary Grant Evans. Following high school, he served in the United States Navy where he developed his craft as an engineer. He was Senior Director of Inside Plant for Charter Communications. Grant will be remembered for his guidance and encouragement to others. He worked closely with his employees and developed relationships that lasted from one location to another. He never met a stranger and was able to make anyone comfortable. If you asked him a question or an opinion you could always expect an "articulate and well-versed response." He was passionate about Alabama football "Roll Tide", enjoyed golfing, cooking, and loved his dogs. He is survived by his wife: Linda of Spring Hill; three sons: Russell Evans and Brian Evans both of Kingsport, TN; and Todd Parker of Maryville, TN; and two sisters: Martha Evans (Terry) Brown of Panama City, FL and Sue Ellen Evans Groger of Seattle, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
