Alvin Walker, Sr.

January 12, 1935 - April 11, 2014

Mr. Alvin E. Walker, Sr. age 79, husband of Shirley Walker and a resident of Lewisburg, TN passed away, Friday, April 11, 2014 at Marshall Medical Center in Lewisburg. The family celebrated his life with private services. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Mr. Walker was born in Newton, New Jersey and was the son of the late Russell and Bessie Walker. He attended church at First Church of Nazarene in Lewisburg. Alvin was an avid collector of memorabilia. When he wasn't spending time at the Senior Citizen's Center, he was tending his garden and yard, or building puzzles. Along with his loving wife Shirley of 58 years, Alvin is survived by 4 sons: Alvin Walker, Jr. of Lewisburg, Jeffrey Linn Walker of Charleston, SC, Kevin O'Shawn Walker of Mooresville, TN, and Randy Scott Walker of Belfast, TN; sister: Rowena of NJ; grandchildren: Shane, Justin, Sonya, Carrie, Matthew, Emily, Angela, Dale, and Josh; and several great grandchildren.
