Charles Dodson

Charles R. Dodson, age 64 of Tom Fitzgerald Rd in Santa Fe, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 4, 2014 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. They will celebrate his life with services beginning at 7:00 PM in the chapel, officiated by Rev. R.L. Potts. Burial will be a private family event. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Charles was a native of Maury County and son of Harold and Marjorie Mosley Dodson. He was a 1967 graduate of Santa Fe High School where he served as captain of the Wildcats Basketball Team. He entered Columbia State in the fall of that year with plans to study and play basketball. Preceded in death by his father: Harold Dodson, Charles is survived by his loving mother and caregiver: Marjorie Mosley Dodson of Santa Fe; a sister: Karen (Harold) Malugin of Primm Springs; his niece: Amanda Malugin of Charlotte, NC; nephew: Ben Malugin of Primm Springs; and aunts and uncles: Charles Mosley of Vancouver, WA, Edith Church of Gallatin, Faye (Ray) Locke of Columbia and Madison Dodson of Columbia. Several cousins also survive. Honorary Pallbearers will be Marty Lockhart, Jack Lockhart, Tommy Mitchell, Danny Potts, and members of the Santa Fe High School Class of 1967.
