Dorothy Ann Spearing

Dorothy Spearing, age 86, a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Sterling House Assisted Living. She will be laid to rest in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 6, 1927, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Herbert Greene and Elizabeth "Betty" Tait O'Hara. She previously worked as a clerk in the gift shop at Mercer Medical Center in Trenton, New Jersey. She is survived by her two sons: Jeff (Jane) Bussell of Columbia and Donald (Kathy) Bussell of North Carolina. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Spearing, and her previous husband: Linford Bussell.
