Mary Louise Sundberg

February 11, 1924 - March 23, 2014

Mary Louise Sundberg, age 90, widow of Douglas Sundberg, and a resident of Hickory Ridge Trail in Columbia, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 at her residence. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 28th at 11am in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Father Louis Rojas officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 9am until the service hour at 11am. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Mary was born February 11, 1924 in Beardstown, Illinois. She was the daughter of the late Elwood Cooper and the late Geneva Goff Cooper. She was a homemaker most of her life, and a member of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed doing things around the house, and was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Mary is survived by her daughters: Maureen Wyatt, Marybeth Jaynes, Joanne Missig, and Therese Reynolds; sons: Matthew, John, Michael, Stephen, Christopher, Thomas, and Mark Sundberg; sister: Jane Lucas; 27 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren. Along with her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brother Cairl "Sonny" Cooper and a sister Lucille Mardarassy.
