Mervyn Jack Meyer

Mervyn Jack Meyer, age 73, a resident of Parish Place in Franklin, passed away Friday, March 14, 2014 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. The family will celebrate his life at 11:00 AM on April 5, 2014 at the Concord Road Church of Christ, where he was recently baptized. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born in Ypsilanti, Michigan on May 28, 1940, Mervyn was the son of the late Mervyn Frederick and Maxine Craft Meyer. Mervyn participated in many sports in high school such as football, baseball, and basketball. In his 40's he would often enjoy going to Canada to fish. He also loved travelling, especially on cruise ships. Mervyn married his wife, Lillian Kurowski, on December 2, 1995. In addition to his wife, he leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons: Scott (Janet) MacDonald of Centennial, CO, Michael (Shannon) Kurowski of Brentwood, TN, Bryan (Julie Loder) Kurowski ofNashville, TN; daughter: Allison Meyer Restauri of Prescott, AZ; sister: Norma Cornette of Mason, MI; and grandchildren: Adriana Kurowski, Alexander Kurowski, Mai Lien Nguyen, Tyler Nguyen.
