Jennie Lee Jones

September 25, 1953 - March 3, 2014

Jennie Lee Jones, age 60, a resident of Columbia passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 at her residence. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8th at 4pm at Heritage Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends from 3-4pm prior to the service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Jennie was born in Denver Colorado on September 25, 1953 and was the daughter of the late William Robert and Wilma Mary Jones. She worked at the YMCA, and was also a teacher at Head Start. She had a true calling in life to work with kids. She was so good with all the children, but especially with special needs kids. All of her co-workers were inspired by Jennie. She was a kid at heart, treasuring all Disney stuff, especially Mickey Mouse. When Jennie was not with kids, she enjoyed reading, shopping, and going to the movies. All who knew Jennie will truly miss her. She is survived by her siblings: Sharon Moore, Mary (Bob) Presley, Patty Holmburg Jones, Sandy Sandler, Debbie (James) Johnson, Delorah Catron, William Robert Jones, Jr., Cathy Cooper, and Bonita Wallace; She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Memorial donations can be made to The King's Daughters' School at 412 West 9th Street Columbia, TN 38401.
