Mary Ruth Schwartz

January 30, 1946 - September 16, 2013

Mary Schwartz, age 67, a resident of Spring Hill, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013 at Centennial Medical Center. The family will visit with friends on Friday, September 20, 2013 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. The family will conduct private burial services. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Mary was born January 30, 1946 in Old Hickory, TN and was the daughter of William Bill McNeely and Maggie Tomlin McNeely. She was a homemaker and member of the Browns Chapel Church of Christ. In recalling her influence in their lives, her children described Mary as spiritual and deeply religious. Her faith carried her through trials with grace and poise. As a homemaker, she dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed researching family history and sharing those stories with others. Mary could just sit and talk for hours, listening and sharing experiences. In her free time Mary enjoyed searching for her next antique treasure , enjoying her flowers, or watching her favorite scary movie. She enjoyed reading scripture and always being ready with an answer to any question. Throughout her illness she maintained her contact with friends through facebook, and maintained her strong-will and personality. Summing up her position in life, Mary will be recalled as the Matriarch of her family. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her so deeply: her husband: Larry Schwartz of Spring Hill; children: Michael Keith Schwartz, Daniel Lawrence Scwartz and Rhonda Marie Schwartz, all of Spring Hill, Sandra Kay Reed of Birmingham, AL, Richard Eugene Vandiver of Shreveport, LA, and Tammy Familigo of Metairie, LA; and siblings: Betty Jo Blackburn, Sonny McNeely, Billy McNeely, Leonard McNeely, Joyce Wishart, and Connie McNeely. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and extended family and friends. You may share condolences with the family at the top of this page.
