Mildred Diann Whitaker

June 6, 1952 - September 6, 2013

Mrs. Mildred Diann Whitaker, age 61 of Pulaski, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2013 at Hillside Hospital in Pulaski. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the Wales Baptist Church, 1860 Campbellsville Rd in Pulaski, TN. The family will conduct private burial services on the family property at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all memorial donations be made in her honor to the Wales Baptist Church in recognition and gratitude for their love and support of Dianns family over the years. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Diann was a lady of deep faith. She loved her church family as her own. She spent her life as a homemaker, raising her children and grandchildren, and providing as stable a home environment as possible. Her faith in her Lord was the foundation of her character. Mixing that with her sense of humor and joking nature, she will be remembered for her radiant personality and compassion for others. She loved to listen to country music and made Coal Miners Daughter her favorite song. She is survived by her mother: Mrs. Louise Brooks Hall of Muncie, Indiana; two sons: Dwight Whitaker of Pulaski and Tim Hall of Salem, VA; two daughters: Charlotte Whitaker of Pulaski and Melissa Barnette of Goodspring, TN. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Diann was preceded in death by her father: Gene Clemmons; a brother: Larry Clemmons; and her husband: Jesse Wade Whitaker. You may share condolences with the family at the top of this page.
