Mrs. Melanie Therese Summa, age 34, a resident of Lyles, TN passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center. The family will celebrate her life with private services. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Born in Albion, Michigan on October 18, 1978, Melanie was the daughter of Larry Summa and Susan Aiuto Jedinak. Melanie loved animals as well as nature, camping, and just spending time outdoors. She had a special fascination with astrology and often played computer games. She was a liberal thinker who believed everybody had a place to belong. Melanie had the personality that would include the people around her in sharing the joy for life that she possessed. Her love and easy going nature will be missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Melanie is survived by a brother in California, and a sister in Michigan.
