Jeannette Elizabeth Dombrowski was born September 29, 1920 on a Polish Farm in South Deerfield Massachusetts. At the age of 10 her family made a short move to New Jersey and then onwards to New York. She loved to write poetry and enjoyed drawing. Her love of the city was her dream come true where she enjoyed a fabulous career as a private and legal secretary. She was most proud of her Polish heritage and her Catholic faith. She was the happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends, whether they were neighbors, relatives from out of state, great-nephews or a niece from down the road. She loved family gatherings, cook outs and holidays. She truly loved her family and always said how lucky she was. After moving to Tennessee with her sister to be near family who already resided in Columbia, she acquired a strong love for animals. She nicknamed herself The Cookie Lady as she always had cookies for the dogs. The five cats in her family were a major part of her life and she loved each and every one of them. She had one of the biggest hearts around and would help anyone in any way she was able to. She will be truly missed by all her relatives. She is survived by her sister Bernice Haug, her brother in Law Robert Haug, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and three god children. You may share condolences with the family at the top of this page.
