Reid Walton, age 25, a resident of Columbia, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 2:00 PM at First Family Church (First Baptist Church) with Pastor Dave Simmerman and Bro. Mike Dawson officiating. Burial will follow at Maury Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 from 4-8 PM at Heritage Funeral Home and again one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements. Born in Columbia, TN on May 19, 1988, Reid was the son of John David and Robi Mills Walton. He was a 2006 graduate of Culleoka Unit School where he played basketball and baseball. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting guns, and spending time outdoors. He was a kind hearted gentleman who would do anything for anyone. Reids love and compassion especially shined through to his precious daughter, Kaylee. His family described his infectious laugh as one that could bring a smile to anyones face. Reids kind heart, compassion, and laugh will be missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter: Kaylee Reice Walton; brother: Riley Walton; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Albert L. and Wynell Walton and maternal grandparents: Norman and Minnie Mills. Active pallbearers will be Josh Blade, Cody Dugger, Walker Graham, Andy Lo, Brandon Thurman, Denny White, and Dontae Winfrey. Honorary pallbearers will be the Culleoka Class of 2006. Memorial donations may be made to a college fund in Kaylees name that will be set up at First Farmers Bank. Condolences may be sent to the family at the top of this page.
