Brownie Louise (Moore) Roan, age 81, and a resident of Love Joy Court in Nashville, formerly of Culleoka, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at her residence.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 3rd at 1pm in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home-Columbia with Minister Tylan Orr officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Saturday, March 2nd from 4-8pm at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements.

Brownie was born in Maury County and was the daughter of the late Joe Moore and Annie Fitzpatrick Moore. She had been very active at Fountain Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She was homemaker who loved to read, cook, can food, gardening, soap operas and country living. Her favorite actor was Harrison Ford and her favorite singer was Alan Jackson. She liked watching Walker, Texas Ranger and she especially enjoyed her children, grandchildren and the rest of her extended family. She will be truly missed by all that got to know her and love her.

Brownie is survived by 3 daughters: Debra Roan of Nashville, Mary (Jeff) Hayes of Nashville, and Sabrina Roan of Columbia; 6 sons: Robert Roan of Columbia, Roger L. (Peggy) Roan of Mt. Juliet, James Curtis Roan of Columbia, Donald (Mattie) Roan of Oakland, TN, Timothy D. Roan of Nashville, and Gregory (Susan) Roan of Fayetteville, TN; 5 sisters: Nannie Lowery, Mildred Brown, Rebecca Moore, Mary Armstrong, all of Columbia, and Margaret Winston of Washington DC; 2 brothers: Josh (Janice) Moore and Caleb Moore, both of Lewisburg; 21 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Inez Johnson of Columbia; uncles: Giles (Virginia) Fitzpatrick of Columbia, Elijah Martin and Riley Fitzpatrick; aunt: Mary Weeden of Columbia; a host of family and friends of Campbell Station, and several cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Wallace Roan; a sister, Mattie; and brothers, William, Willie and Johnny.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and nephews. Flower bearers will be granddaughters and nieces

Honorary Pallbearers will be Brent LeMay, Rex LeMay, Clifford LeMay, Johnny Warfield, Doug Martin, Mr. & Mrs. Porter Black, Mr. & Mrs. Joe Gobble and Ms. Florence Boyd

The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Prasad, Dr. Numnum, Dr. Min and staff. Also, a special thanks to Alive Hospice of Nashville.
