Loyd Lee Hosford

May 8, 1955 - March 14, 2013

Mr. Loyd Lee Hosford, age 57 of Columbia, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013 at his residence. A memorial service for Mr. Hosford will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with military honors provided by The American Legion Herbert Griffin Post 19. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 PM until the service hour at 2:00. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A native of Columbia, Loyd was born on May 8, 1955 and was the son of the late Richard Wiley and Mary Frances Owens Hosford. He worked in the area of construction and enjoyed fishing and camping as well as shooting pool. Loyd never met a stranger and would do anything he could to help others. He also loved his dog. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his siblings: Lisa (Rodney) Butts of Murfreesboro, Gary (Lisa) Hosford of Columbia, Jackie (Elaine) Hosford of Columbia, Betty Blade of Culleoka, Richard (Dorine) Hosford of Columbia, Wanda (Charlie) Workman of Culleoka, Barbara Hailey of Marco Island, FL, Sue (Roy) Wells of Decatur, AL; half-brother: Buster Owens of Smyrna, TN; and special friends: Pam Huckabee, Tony McNeese, and David Cates.
