Mr. Leon Raymer, age 59, of Blackburn Lane in Spring Hill, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2012 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee. The family will hold a private celebration of his life. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Born in Kentucky, he was the son of the late Uda Raymer and the late Verlene Raymer. He served in the Army during the Vietnam Era. He was self employed as a General Contractor in the Construction Industry. He was of the Baptist faith. This outgoing, loving and generous husband and father was known for his giving ways. In addition to his own children, he helped to raise several others as well. He was an honest, hardworking man. When he could find time for himself, he enjoyed going fishing. His kind heart and sweet presence will truly be missed. He left behind to cherish his memory three sons: Richard Wiltz of Columbia, TN, Chris (Ellan) Raymer of TX, and Matthew (Dawn) Raymer of LA; two daughters: Angela (Gerald) Grieve Brown of AZ and Crickett Raymer of Columbia, TN; four brothers: Gene Raymer of Hohenwald, TN, Charles Raymer of CA, and David (Judy) Raymer and David (Annette) Raymer, Jr. both of Spring Hill, TN; two sisters: Christine Stayrook of Lobelville, TN and Justine Voohries of Brookhaven, MS; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
