Ronald O. "Ron" Sutton, age 69 and a resident of Pulaski, TN, passed away on January 19, 2012 in Nashville, TN. Celebration of Life Services are to be held January 23, 2012 at 1 pm at Heritage Funeral Home, 609 Bear Creek Pike Columbia, TN 38401 and graveside service to follow at 3 pm at Maplewood Cemetery in Pulaski, TN. Visitation is scheduled for 11:00 am until service time. Ronald Ron Otho Sutton was born July 18, 1942 in Lindsborg, KS to Otho Sutton and Bertie "Louese" Phillips Sutton. He was the oldest of 3 children, with siblings Wayne Sutton and Betty (Sutton- Bellomy) White. The family travelled with Otho while he worked in the oil fields, but he wanted an easier life for his sons. Ron came to know the Lord in early teen years while attending First Baptist Church in Tecumseh, OK. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Elkhart and then the Church of Christ at Meeker, OK. He graduated high school with the class of 1960 in Elkhart, KS. & then attended Kansas University in Lawrence, KS. Ron had many accomplishments and dreams which came to fruition. Among those are a successful career as an auctioneer and teaching in the Fort Smith Arkansas Auction School. His later career in various fields eventually culminated in extensive travel and living in many states around the country, which brought him much happiness. Survivors include his spouse, Jennifer Lemmon, of Pulaski, TN and his mother, Louese Sutton, of Shawnee, OK He is also survived by his son, Steven Kent Sutton and daughter in law, Robin Sutton of Framingham, MA as well as his daughter, Julie Sutton Salek and her husband, Bryan Salek of Tampa, FL. Ron's grandchildren were the light of his life: Meghan Sutton, Darren Sutton, Lauren Sutton, Caitlin Sutton, Cassidy Brown and Colton Salek. He is also survived by adopted daughter, Leila Garcia Hunt and her husband, Bryan Hunt, of Mt. Joliet, TN and their children Cole, Sienna and Cody. Other survivors include his brother, Wayne Sutton of Shawnee, OK, and his sister, Betty White and husband Kevin, of Elkhart, KS and his nephews, Terry Wayne Russell of Duncan, OK and Michael Bellomy of Elkhart, KS. Memorials may be made to the Leg Up Therapeutic Riding Center, 391 Maxwell Hill Road in Pulaski, TN 38478.
