Michael Allen Medley

Mr. Michael Allen "Cheeseburger" Medley, age 43, a resident of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday afternoon, December 14, 2011, at his residence following a brave battle with cancer. A funeral service for Mr. Medley will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Grace Church of the Nazarene in Lawrenceburg, TN with Brother Greg Thompson officiating. The family will visit with friends from noon until the funeral hour. Heritage Funeral Home of Columbia is assisting the family with the arrangements. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and later moved to Tennessee. He was married to Ella Medley and was a man of varied interests and joys in life. His last occupation was that of a LPN working with CareAll. He also worked as a trucker and owned a bar at one time. He traveled for several years with the fair and was a Flea Market salesman. He loved to cook, bake, fish, and camp. He won a Paula Deen Cooking Contest with chocolate bacon. He loved UT Football and was a sports lover. He was a Jeff Gordon racing fan. Although his life was cut short, he thoroughly enjoyed his life and his family. His love for life and his outgoing personality will greatly be missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his wife Ella, he left behind to cherish his memory his mom, Diane Medley of Fayetteville, TN and his mother Rita Ashmead of KY; his son: Jarrod Michael Medley of Lawrenceburg, TN; his daughter Haley Nicole (Koty) Luke of Lawrenceburg, TN; four brothers: Christopher Medley and Shawn Medley both of Fayetteville, TN, Shawn Ashmead and Jeffrey Ashmead of FL; one sister, Deanna Goines of MN and his sister-in-law and buddy, Linda Thompson; one granddaughter, Paislee Luke and his best friend Jerry Powell of Summertown, TN.
