Margaret Elizabeth Love Hood

Mrs. Margaret (Mub) Elizabeth Love Hood, age 87, passed away on Monday, December 05, 2011 at her residence in Culleoka, Tennessee. A Funeral Service for Mrs. Hood will be held on Wednesday, December 07, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Ricky Clay officiating. Interment will follow in the Santa Fe Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, December 06, 2011 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. A native of Hickman County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Spencer Love and the late Mylinda Louella Conner. She was married to Fred Buford Hood until the time of his passing in 1984. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints. This country music loving grandmother enjoyed poetry, cooking, sewing and gardening. Her dog, Meatloaf had a special place in her heart. Her loving family will greatly miss this wonderful lady in the days and years ahead. She left behind to cherish her memory two sons: Marvin Hood of Culleoka, TN and Larry Hood of Columbia, TN; a daughter, Paulette (Dwight) Shouse of Florence, KY, eight grandchildren: Stacy (Doug) Wright, Kim (John) Waldrum, Hayley (Chris) Burgess, and Tammy Hood all of Columbia, TN and Robert (Terri Rae) LaCroix, Amy Turner, Mandy (Adam) Smith and Brian Shouse all of Florence, KY; sixteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Hood LaCroix, two sons: Freddie Robert Hood and Howard Eugene Hood, and her brothers: Lloyd Davis, Anderson Davis, Homer Love, Claude Love and B. Love. Pallbearers will include: Steve Curley, Jeremy Cothran, Joe Calton, Doug Wright, Bobby Hargrove, & John Waldrum. Honorary pallbearers will include: Sheila Mathews, Kimberly Cothran, Steve and Beverly Curley, Wayne and Monica Smith, Peggy Stewart, and friends and neighbors of the General Lee Road Community.
