Raymond B. Oliver, Jr.

Mr. Raymond B. Oliver, Jr., age 86, and a resident of Wiley Hollow Road in Culleoka, passed away Friday morning, March 1, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 4, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Lucas officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery with military honors provided by The American Legion Herbert Griffin Post 19. The family will visit with friends on Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 4:00 " 6:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements. A native of Maury County, Raymond was born on February 28, 1927 and was the son of the late Raymond Benjamin and Sara Cummins Oliver. He worked as a dairy plant manager for Dairyman Inc. He was a simple man who enjoyed farming and horses. Raymond also loved his grandchildren. He is survived by three sons: Benny Oliver, David (Michelle) Oliver, Roger (Crystal) Oliver; daughter: Brenda (Roger) Williams; brother, Billy Oliver; and three sisters: Corrine Goetz, Geraldine Fisher, and Janice Johnson. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Kristie Collins, Wendy Oliver, Jeffrey Oliver, Cayla Oliver, Brian Emerson; and five great-grandchildren: Alexis Alcorn, Chloe Alcorn, Mason Hunter Oliver, Waylon Wayne Stinnett, and Alexis Morgan Love. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Grace, and brother, Larry Oliver. Pallbearers will be Keith Dixson, Tommy Goetz, Kevin Oliver, Darrell Johnson, Keith Johnson, and Terry Harris. You may share condolences with the family at the top of this page.
