Randy Moss, Sr.

July 16, 1944 - June 9, 2012

Mr. Randolph Randy Clark Moss, Sr., age 67, husband of Dinah Lee Clark Moss and a resident of Lasea Road in Spring Hill, Tennessee passed away Saturday, June 09, 2012 at Maury Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral Services for Mr. Moss will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Georgina Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the United States Army. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and then again on Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and is assisting the family. Born in Huntsville, Alabama, he was the son of the late Charles Douglas Moss and the late Rebecca (Edwards) Moss Calkins. He served full time in the United States Army with the National Guard. He thoroughly loved and was devoted to his career with the military and as a Veteran's Representative (Outreach Specialist) with the State of Tennessee. He was a member of the Model Rockets club and loved to travel. He and his wife had just returned from a trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. They had hopes of moving there when he retired. He was definitely a family man. Together, he and his wife had about 50 foster children during their marriage for which they loved and cared for. His love and compassion will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his wife Dinah, he left to cherish his memory three daughters: Becky (Robby) Moss Richards of Dyersburg, TN, Melissa Moss Reynolds of Dyersburg, TN, and Katie Clark of Spring Hill, TN; four sons: Randy Moss, Jr., Tyler Clark Moss, Trey Sheldon, and Tommy Sanders all of Spring Hill, TN; a brother, Charles Edwards (Brenda) Moss of Knoxville, TN; and four grandchildren all of Dyersburg, TN: John Clark Richards, Rebecca Claire Richards, Madelyn Clark Saye and Miranda Hope Saye. Pallbearers for Mr. Moss will be members of the United States Army. Honorary Pallbearers will include: King Rogers III, Mark Johnston, Frank Burnette, Dave Talley, Davy Talley, Robby Richards, Matthew Clark, Matthew Saye, Robert Rogers, Ronald Sheldon, Jr., and Richard Lucas.
