Ms. Judy Ann Davis Carter, age 59, of Antietam Circle in Columbia passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Maury Regional Hospital following an extended illness. A Funeral Service for Judy will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the Jones Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Saturday, January 5, 2013from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements. Born in Maury County, Tennessee, she was a resident of Columbia and a 1971 graduate of Central High School. She was the daughter of Aubrey L. "Strut" Davis and the late Joanne Bratton Davis. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a retired Registered Nurse from Maury Regional Hospital. She thoroughly enjoyed traveling with her loving soul mate, Bruce Taiji but nothing could top the love she had for her one and only grandson, Storm. Her loving and caring ways will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her father and fianc, she also left behind to cherish her memory one son, Jay Allen Watters of Columbia, TN; her one and only grandson, Storm Stone of Columbia, TN; three brothers: Terry (Annette) Davis of Columbia, TN, Danny (Cheryl) Davis of Rockvale, TN, and Randy "Yogi" (Robyn) Davis of Columbia, TN; nephews: Patrick Davis of Murfreesboro, TN, and Steven Davis of Nashville, TN and one niece, MacKenzie Davis of Columbia, TN. Pallbearers will include: Patrick Davis, Storm Stone, Steve Barr, Robert Hendricks, Stan Fortner, William Davis, Jimmy Parrish and Roger Dale White.
