Mr. James "Eddie" Oliver, Sr., age 61, and a resident of Lewisburg, and formerly of Columbia, TN passed away Monday, November 12, 2012 at NHC- Lewisburg. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Gibsonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, and again one hour prior to the service time on Wednesday. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Eddie was born August 3, 1951 in Maury County and was the son of the late James Morgan Oliver and Mrs. Wilma Lucille Daniels Oliver, who survives. He was employed with PSC Fabricating as a truck driver, and was a member of the Baptist Faith. He graduated from Columbia Central High School. In his free time, he enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a NASCAR fan, enjoyed fishing, and being at the dirt track. In addition to his mother, Eddie is survived by 2 sons: Eddie (Tonya) Oliver of Culleoka and Shane (Jessica) Oliver of Columbia; a daughter: Michele (Doug) Cox of Culleoka; 3 brothers: Tony (Linda) Oliver of Columbia, Danny Oliver of Giles County, and Tim (Faye) Oliver of Columbia; and 6 grandchildren: Luke Oliver, Adeline Oliver, Sophia Oliver, Skyler Oliver, Shannon Lowe and Darrel Cox. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Morgan Oliver and Josh Oliver, and a great-nephew: Cannon Oliver. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and two uncles. Pallbearers will be friends and family members, while honorary pallbearers will be the staff of NHC-Lewisburg. Eddie's family wishes to give special thanks to the staff of NHC-Lewisburg for their extraordinary care and compassion to Eddie and his family.
