Hilda Ann Gilbert

Hilda Ann Gilbert, age 66, and a resident of Pondfield Road in West Point, TN passed away Monday, November 12, 2012 at her residence. Memorial services will be Friday, November 16, 2012 at Meadowview Baptist Church at 7PM. The family will visit with friends two hours prior to the service on Friday. Private burial will be held at Shadygrove Cemetery in Saltillo, TN where she will be laid to rest next to her two month old son, Joseph James Pusser. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and is in charge of the arrangements. Hilda was born on June 13, 1946 in Lawrenceburg, TN. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Watson and Ruby Inez Chupp. She was of the Baptist faith, and she loved God and had personal faith in Him. She loved traveling and fulfilled that passion through driving a truck, and she enjoyed the wide open spaces while on the road. She had a love for poetry, and several of her poems were published. Hilda was young at heart and especially liked spending her time with kids; her grandchildren were the joy of her life. She is survived by three daughters: Melissa Ann (Chuck) Blanton of Summertown, Jennifer (Willard) Hughes of Lawrenceburg; Sabrina Pusser (Grey) Ray of West Point; seven grandchildren: Brandon Jack (Brooke) Holt, Natasha Diane (Kriston) Robbins, Bo Allen (Desiree) Green, Heather LouAnn (John) Harlan, Jesse Allen Bradley, Markus James French, Tigar Leann French; and eight great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Hunter, Colton, Kyla, Wesley, Samuel, Reggie, and Kyra. She is also survived by three nephews: Dennis, Barry, and Randall Chupp. In addition to her parents and son, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gene Edwin Chupp. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the family c/o Heritage Funeral Home: 609 Bear Creek Pike, Columbia, TN 38401.
