Ora Belle Wheeler

Miss Ora Belle Wheeler, age 93, and a resident of Cathys Creek Road in Hampshire, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Life Care Center of Columbia. Funeral Services for Miss Wheeler will be held Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 3:00PM at the Jackson County Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN with ONeal Huffines officiating. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 1:00PM until the funeral hour. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements. Miss Wheeler was the daughter of the late Sibble Franklin Wheeler and Binie Craighead Wheeler of the Trace Creek Community near Gainesboro, TN. She retired from the Jackson County Bank. Before her employment with the bank, she had been a legal secretary for many years in Columbia and Cookeville, Tennessee. Ora Belle was a member of the Church of Christ. She had many nieces and nephews, who she admired so much. She was a lady who truly loved her family. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, J. Frank Wheeler; and her sister, Izora (Charles W. Sr.) Throneberry. Miss Wheeler is survived by one sister, Ella Ruth (Dan S.) Shannon; her nephews, Steve (Sylvia) Wheeler, Rick (Debbie) Wheeler, Joe (Tonya) Shannon, Charles (Shirley) Throneberry, Jr., Robert (Susan) Throneberry; one niece, Ms. Judy Cochran; and Sister in law, Cornelia Mundy Wheeler. She also has several great nephews and nieces. Pallbearers will be Joseph Dan Shannon, Rick Wheeler, Steve Wheeler, Robert Throneberry, Charles Throneberry, Jr., and Paul Richardson.
