Mr. Robert Bob Samuel Davis, age 95, and a resident of Tom Osborne Road in Columbia, TN passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the Ottawa Park Cemetery Chapel in Waterford, MI at 10AM with Rev Dulan Foster officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the graveside service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of local arrangements. A native of Sandusky, MI, Bob was born on October 14, 1917. He was the son of the late Samuel Robert and Cora Mae Houis Davis. While in Michigan, he worked as a foreman for GM Truck and Coach. After his retirement he joined the Elks Club in Michigan, and it was with that club that he and his wife joined their Bowling League. He loved bowling, and it wasnt until three weeks ago that his health prohibited him from doing so. He relocated to Columbia and lived with his daughter for the past 2 years and attended Trinity Family Church. When he was younger he enjoyed pheasant and rabbit hunting. He and his wife, the late Audrey Jean Holm Davis enjoyed gardening and grew many raspberries before her death. He leaves behind to cherish his memory two sons: Robert Olin (Sharon) Davis of Port St. John, FL, Emery Clark (Carrie) Davis of Palm Bay, FL; daughter, Claudette Mutter of Columbia, TN; three sisters: Betsy Scott of Sandusky, MI, Verna Krosnicki of Peck, MI, Beatrice Ellenwood of Croswell, MI; nine grandchildren: Robbie, Pamela, Jeff, Brett, Vicky Lynn, Shelly, Beth Ann, Kara, and Chad; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charlie Davis and sister, Louise Bailey. Condolences may be sent to the family at the top of this page.
