July 14, 1944 - January 2, 2013

Mr. Billy Clyde Webb, age 68 and the husband of Helen Lorene "Anglin" Webb of Columbia passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at his residence in the arms of his loving family. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 1:30 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. The family will visit with friends on Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Sunday. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements. A native of Maury County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late William Webb and the late Maggie Mae "Osbourne" Webb. He was a member of the Highland Church of Christ and had retired from Morrison's Cafe at the Saturn Plant. It was an exciting day when he completed the proper courses to fulfill his life's ambition of becoming a professional truck driver. In his earlier years, he enjoyed working with Donald "Papa" Jack doing farm work. Billy loved motorcycles of all makes and models. It was so evident that he truly loved his family and the only thing that superseded his love for them was his love for the Lord. Although he passed away in the arms of his loving family at home, today he is in the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In addition to his devoted wife of 46 years Helen Lorene, he also left behind to cherish his memory his son, Jason Allen Webb and his daughter, Dana (Chuck) Charles, Jr. Bates, both of Columbia, TN; his sister, Linda Dale (Marvin) Reese of Columbia, TN and one grandson, Justin Chance Bates; special sister-in-law Darlene Jack, and great nephew, Hunter Reed. We cannot fail to mention his beloved pets as well: Sox, Baby Girl, Tiny, Shadow and Badeye. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother and sister, James Lee Webb and Jane Stokes. Pallbearers will include: Christopher Jack, David Reed, Jerry Lee Webb, George Simmons, Joshua Erwin, and David Robin Jack. Honorary Pallbearers are Marvin Reese, Justin Chance Bates and Rick Martinez. Memorials may be made the American Cancer Society 2008 Charlotte Ave, Nashville, TN 37203 or the Oncology Center of MRMC 1224Trotwood Avenue, Columbia, TN 38401. The family would like to offer a special "Thanks" to Dr. Messenger, Dr. Steve Simmons, the nurses of the Oncology Department at MRMC and the Heart Center at MRMC. Condolences may be sent to the family at the top of this page.
